Wonderful capture, great angle, creamy background is lovely. Looks like it might be slightly over sharpened around the head.
Nice capture of this lovely looking duck. Good colours throughout and I love the POV and BG

Beautiful duck that I hope to see some day. Wonderful water and super BG, great HA and POV. Bird feels slightly tight in the frame for my personal taste. The image also feels somewhat cool , although that's probably the way it was. Still, I'd be tempted to see what some warming might do.
Such a wonderful species to photograph. I'm suspect that the processing could be improved...whites look gray, there's a halo behind his head and it looks oversharpened. I bet there's more detail in the head, too. Certainly an image that I'd love to have taken and a bit of an overhaul might just make this one really sing.
I like the low angle, head turn and the BG. As mentioned it has a few processing issues, the WB is a bit off (too cool/blue), and it is over sharpened with visible halo artifacts. Some of the blacks in the head and back have lost detail as Grace mentioned too but otherwise and attractive image

Geoff:
Lovely capture, shooting angle, head angle, background, all really fine.
Do agree with folks about the modest processing issues, and too tight in the frame, esp. to the right.
But, the bones are very solid, and well worth a revisit and tweak.
Cheers
Randy
Thanks for the comments everyone. I will go back and have a look at tweaking the sharpening and whites.
