    Default Theme- Kind of Duck like on pretty water! Common loon juvi

    This juvi is the same one shown in my last post. He swam from the bright sunlight into the deep shadows. Always interesting to get two such different looks in a matter of a few minutes.

    D4 f/5 1/500s ISO 1250 SB900 with better beamer

    Post: Added canvas to the left for comp. Toned down the flash highlights a bit. Cleaned up second catchlight. Selective sharpening,

    Advice and comments always appreciated.

    The dark background makes the Loon pop for sure. Love the eye contact, the light on the Loon and the water droplets, Randy.

    Such a perfect portrait. Love the dark BG, the droplets on the bird, the hint of green in the water and the perfect HA.

    Lovely shot Randy great exposure control and a good pose. The contrast is quite high but it shows the subject to good effect, there are some subtle but lovely tones in the water.
