Certainly addresses the theme. Beautiful bird in beautiful setting. Perfect head turn. I like the way the iridescence over the eye picks up on the colors of the loch.

    Hi Will,

Very nice Wigeon shot! Composition, water , IQ look good to my eyes. I personally have found the wigeons to be challenging to shoot in such fall coloured water locally. Glad to see your great shot!

A consideration may be to drop the saturation or brightness on the green vertical bars over the bird.

I like the calm water, colors, HA and composition. I like suggestion to tone down the bright bars in the BG. Great image to kick off this months theme.

Beautiful shot of gorgeous bird. Great looking shot all around. I see the saturation reduction point and would go there myself on this one.

Hi Will, when getting to the party a bit late, I get stuck into my comment before looking above. Love your low perspective here, and you certainly did kick off with a colourful Duck. I really like the detail and colours on him, overall well exposed too. Good HA, and I do like the small bow wave. The OOF reflected reeds on the water adds a lot to the overall BG, and if anything, I would just take a bit off the bottom on your OP.
