Awesome pose, composition, and timing here, Marc. I like how you kept most of the horn to help tell the story and placed the cub in the right top third - great and wish it was in my portfolio! My only minor comment is that the cub's face looks a tad soft to my eyes and perhaps could do with one more pass at sharpening? Then again and like I said in my previous post, my eyes are not yet back up to speed on image review given that I have been away from the game for the past 12 months.

On a related topic, how was Selinda? I have been to Duba Plains and Mara Plains, and love GP camps. We have been looking at Selinda - is it worth it and do you recommend?

Stunning image Marc, powerful content and nice comp. The cub looks so tiny compared to the downed bull, yet plays conqueror with great eye contact and biting pose. TFS.

Hi Marc - That's one big chew toy for the cub! I too like the comp and placement in frame. Pov works well too. Nice one.

Great capture I like the pose and composition. I may be tempted to give the image a little more pop.

This just works mate - strong composition, gripping storytelling.
Only thing I might change is add a hint more depth to the midtones?

Hi Marc .... with some more boost this might become a real burner

Well composed and well timed during shooting , as cute as it can get , but with the buff carcass it becomes a bit more dramatic and loose somehow the youngsters innocency .this is of course my very subjective view , LOL .

Very well done Marc , TFS Andreas

Great shot, love the RP Marc! Hopefully this cup is still going to taste a lot of old (or young!) dagga blood in his life!

    Hello Marc!

A lot has happened before this little cub got to climb up there and taste the flesh of this buffalo, and with my mind's eye I can see it all - very powerful image indeed! Love the placement of the subjects in the frame, this is one dramatic scene well captured and presented.

So pleased for you, this must be one of the most rewarding trips ever, so filled with excitement and unique sightings!

In all honesty, I cannot see much difference between the OP and RP?

Cannot wait to see the rest of the images you brought back! Sorry to be scarce lately, December is a month of "just work and no play" for me. I do make a point of popping in to view the latest posts, usually late at night and lacking the energy to write my lengthy and detailed critiques (stories), LOL

Hope you have a wonderful evening Marc, thank you so much for sharing!

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

hi Marc -- Stunning image and your RP has taken this up a notch . Just curious to know have you managed to take any wider perspective of this scene with the cub ? would love to see if you have managed one .
    TFS !
