Default King of the Salt Marsh

There is always a Kingbird at the NWR path I use in the AM. This current group/couple are a bit less skiddish! This AM - dark, drizzle and iso800, ME, Eval. metering, 1/640 at f5.6 - 1dm3 on 500 w/1.4x on BushHawk. Bob

    Hi Bob,
I like the concept of your composition, but the perch is too over powering for your subject. It would be better if the bird's head were turned towards the right a bit more to achieve a better head angle. I took the liberty to work on your image...I croped from the left bottom and right of your frame, also I boosted contrast a bit...see if this works for you...:D

I think this might have worked as a vertical as well. Kingbirds are always a treat. It doesn't look like you had much light but I'm thinking if you could have bumped the DOF a bit more that you might have gotten a little more out of this one. I like this one.
