Default Eastern Phoebe, and Happy Thanksgiving

After posting a lot of flight shots recently, I thought for a change this calm Eastern Phoebe, enjoying the late afternoon sun, would be a nice way to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. I hope everyone is enjoying lots of good turkey, or football games, or whatever else one may be doing around the world on this day.

D7200, 500f4 + 1.4 TC, ISO 1250, 1/2500s @ f/7.1 manual, gitzo and mongoose. Set for flight, hoping he might take off after a bug, but he seemed quite tranquil just sitting in the sun.

Yes, Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends! For us it's just a good'ol regular Thursday, but with some NFL football to watch. I like the image - fantastic background. The calm pose is nice. Looks like you had some nice light, but I'd still be tempted to tone down the highlights as they seem a touch bright. It also would have ben good to point the camera an inch or so more to the right. All in all quite beautiful.

I like the pose, BG, sharpness, light and algae/lichens on the perch add interest. Well done Bill.

Hi Bill, as good an angled pose you will get. I like the light in this, detail on the little guy, and I also like the colours to your BG. Yes to taking a bit off the LHS.
