    I like the muted tones and backlit highlights on the subject. Perhaps a bit tight at the top.

    Hi, Mitch, I love the mood and the lighting. I'd vote for a little more room at the top and a small crop from the left side.

    Agree with both Gary & Cheryl on this one. Those stormy blues & grays are dramatic with just the small bits of light leaking through.

    I'm guessing that you put the heron where you did so it would stand out a bit better from the background. In my opinion, the sky and it's reflection in the water have enough drama to pretty much carry the show. The heron -- especially with its blue, grays, and white echoing the sky colors is a great addition -- but I agree with cropping from the left and lowering the heron. Making the sky even more dramatic and just having the heron there for added interest even if it blends a bit into the background.
