Egret with Nesting Material

I captured this Egret a few weeks ago as he was returning to his nest with some building material. Im not sure how he was going to arrange it, but they always succeed. Taken early morning.

Beautiful lighting here Stu. Lovely whites on the bird which stand out well against the great looking BG. Love the facial expression, showing the bird is on a 'mission'. The nesting material adds to the image.

Beautiful shot Stu, great warm light but the detail in the whites are spot on. The wing position is best for this type of shot - wings up or down wouldn't have worked as well, and the head is a nice angle

Hi Stu,

Love this shot! White bird very well exposed, dark green BG, and lots of space around the bird. What really strikes me are those stems and roots. They add a sense of depth and realism to the shot :)

Beautiful light, highlighting the bird against the lovely bg. Great nesting material catching the light. Good flight angle just before he got to you. Only thing that could have made it better IMO would have been a bit more of a bank showing more topside.
