Default Another one from the Valley Fire

Here's another from the drive around the fire-devaststed area. A straight scene (Canon 5D3 and 70-200) with a texture overlay in Hard Light. I think it was from a burned appliance -- maybe a kitchen stove or the like. Hard to tell which texture I used after it's layer is distorted to fit. And hard to tell what it was before it was destroyed...

It's so fitting that the texture you used is something damaged in the fire. And, again, it's amazing that it works so well with the scene. That blackened sign and post was a good thing to include because it adds depth and is a testament to the fact that the fire was experienced there.

Fire is captivating even as it consumes. You have a very good balance between the texture and the amount of bkgd details that show through. The blackened sign and bent fence add a poignancy to the burned scrub and trees.

You captured the destruction of the fire. As others have said, great use of the texture of the burned appliance!

The fire like texture is most effective in this image.

Hi, Diane, perfect choice of combinations including the choice of Hard Light for your blending mode.
