I just loved the way the leopard peeked through the foliage here at me. Cant forget the eye contact I got. Image had issues like exposure (mainly) and also the twig running across (thankfully not crossing the face) but the moment was so nice that I thought I should post this for the theme.

Nicely framed thru the foliage with great eye contact Sanjeev, shame about the blown highlights, it looks like you've recovered about as much as possible on the leopard, might try reducing them further on the leaves.

Not that I'm a fan of the vignette very much, but this might be a candidate for one here.

Hi Sanjeev it would be a stunning frame ...... without the known issues , fully understand your thoughts and emotions in the field .
I love the look through the foliage of the Leopard .
Lovely detail and tone , like the colors too .

Just gambled a bit with the OOF stuff , not ideal but manageable when having the original to play with .

Hi Sanjeev - I agree, this is great eye contact through the foliage and one of those moments we all love. It's too bad about the blown areas. You didn't say if this is ff or cropped. If it's ff then you might be able to salvage something for a small print or for web with a crop but don't pixel bash too much.

    Rachel

Hi Sanjeev - my thoughts echo Rachel's, I'd crop out the blown portion and focus on the bottom right corner of your original frame if your file size and quality allow it.
Furthermore, I'd play around with monochrome and vignetting to make the leopard's eyes stand out more...
    Nice moment indeed!

Thanks everyone, Rachel this was shot horizontally and I cropped vertical. Will work on your, Andreas and Moeks suggestion.

    Hello Sanjeev,

I totally agree, you have some eye contact here second to none:) I would do whatever it takes to conceal those blown highlights: crop, vignette, err... there might be other options too, but on the less ethical side of processing, LOL.

Love the way the subject is peering through the foliage, you had a clean view of the leopard's face and despite low SS it looks good to me, well seen and captured Sanjeev!

Have a wonderful evening, hope you prepared another image for tomorrow?

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

    Hi Sanjeev

    Love the pose!
If IQ can handle it, how about only eyes with some foliage?
    Regards

    Andre.

Hi Sanjeev, I love this, forget the blown highlights, the 'cautious' look/approach is a killer for me, I really like it. Now the highlight might be totally blown, or it might be, if I may, 'highlighted' through your processing skills and perhaps to a certain extent reduced through careful PP, I don't know, just a thought. I agree that making the surroundings darker is a good thought, but again there are other ways to address this and also perhaps bring back a bit more colour/tone in the leaves for depth. Overall this for me has a lot going for it, perhaps a square format from the foot up, WDYT?

    TFS
    Steve

Thanks Steve, agree the pose was a killer one and I have multiple frames of this sighting. Will share the RAW file with you and will appreciate if you can guide how best to salvage this. Agree on the square crop and monochrome/vignette option too as suggested by Mork.
    cheers,
    sanjeev
