    We found this Greater Scaup proudly escorting her 9 ducklings around a marsh pond in Iceland in 2012. The pond was being shared with two Red Divers and their 2 young ones. C&C welcome.

    D3s, Nikon 500mm f4.0, 1/1600s, F 4.0, ISO 800, Gitzo tripod, Wimberley Gimbal head.

    Hi Geoffrey,

    I really like the composition! Pano is perfect for this shot.

    I am not so sure about the tonality. Perhaps it could be a bit brighter, or have a little more contrast?

    This one made me smile!
    Obviously a pano crop is the way to go! Mom has a good head turn towards us which strengthens the image considereably.
    Because this is Iceland, I am assuming this was a grey dull day?
