I like the feeding pose, colours, composition. The eye ring nicely matches the berries! I do wish there was separation between the bill and the twig as the face is a bit lost as is, but all else looks pretty neat and entertaining to me.

Thanks Daniel. At first I thought the BG may be a little busy, I had a few frames around this time, I chose this one as I thought the BG was strong, but it blended well with the bird. I see what you mean about the head. Thanks for that.

An explosion of color. Pleasing image to view with a nice upside down pose.

Like the upside down pose,BG is busy but with nice colours and of course that is where the bird is feeding, good feather detail and exposure on the black, all works very well for me Will.

Hi Will. Just a pity the head wasn't this side of the twigs but you take what you can get. Plenty of time. The inpending cold spell should bring some of the northern boys in !

Like everything about this image, William. Even the bill poking through the branches. All the detail you could want, and great look at that eye. Great position on the perch and colors work with him perfectly. Well done.

    Hi Will,

Lots of great colors to enjoy in this shot.

There seems to my eye, to be a little ambiguity over what is the conveyed main subject? Bird or a bush with berries?.
