    Default Northern Shoveler Takes Flight

Here's another frame from last year's Ducks Unlimited workshop. This time it's a Northern Shoveler drake on the wing.

Another beauty Doug, I do like the whole duck in flight series. Excellent wing position and clean details, my only thought would be to include some more of the trailing water droplets should you have cropped any away. Otherwise just about as good as it gets.

excellent wing position and sharp details, I like the crop and the smooth BG. I would brighten the shoveler just a bit

Another super flight shot. I like the fully extended wing position and the detail on the bird. Great background and diagonal composition.

This is a case where the tight crop works well for me because of the ducks angle. Excellent ....

Hi Doug, great angled take off pose, and with raised wings too. Well exposed, as the greens of the head, and browns of the body show up nicely. Gotta love how that eye pops, and the trailing droplets on the darker BG add interest.

Crazy beautiful image of this duck. Love the wing postion and the good look at the top of the far wing. My only thought is to brighten it up a touch.

Killer pose and nice dark BG. Love that yellow eye. Agree with Grace about brightening up just a tad.

Fantastic pose and what a great HA. Catching these guys with a nice BG like that is what it's all about. The details look great but I do agree with a bit more exposure. Great job and I look forward to our upcoming workshop.
