    Default Crowned Lapwing

Ive been without a PC for two weeks, thus my absence. Whilst walking my dogs the other afternoon, I decided to take my camera along, as there are quite a few Lapwings in the area. This was more of a grab shot, as the Lapwings like to 'dive bomb' the dogs, as we are walking in their territory. Taken late afternoon, and the BG is as shot.

What a stunner, Stuart! You had such amazing light. Your feather details here are amazing. The flight angle really works well.

Love the sweet light and gorgeous color. Sharpness is top notch, and I like the open beak and eye contact. Near wing position could be a little better but having said that, I'd love to have this frame in my collection!

Open beak, pose, BG , sharpness and catch light in the eye are great, but the light take it over the top. Fantastic work!

    Too nice Stu!

We exchanged PM's a while back about choosing gear. Next years projects for me might include shorter focal lengths, and after weeks of head scratching this image has me questioning my gear setup again!

Great pose, light and details, absolutely no nits from me at all - the head angle and wing position are sublime.

    Absolutely stunning, Stu!
Amazing pose, and sharpness and BG.
Way too nice, especially for a "grab shot"!
