Perfect shooting angle, excellent IQ and nice complimenting background Gail.
I hope I will find a few tomorrow here but the plumage won't be as nice.

Hi Gail, what exquisite light you had here, and just love the take off angle, and with raised wings too. Overall well exposed, sharp where it counts, and that BG is perfect. Well timed, and well captured.

Gail:
Well deserved accolades. The launch pose is excellent, as is the light and color harmony.
Only thing I might consider: further softening the dark shoreline in the background. It has just enough contrast to draw my eye away from the bird, and because it is on the horizontal midline, it tends to divide the image in half. The left side of the shoreline is fine, the right side starting just to the right of the birds head has several darker blotches that could be softened a bit.
Fine picture!
Cheers

The timing couldn't be bettered IMHO. Great flight angle towards the lens, full wing extension and I love the jump off splash. Pleasure to view Gail.

Ah, that northern golden light. A beauty. Agree with Randy on just a few editing tweaks to ratchet it up a notch or two more.

Man, this is rocking image too!! Some nice stuff posted in the last day. The pose and shooting angle are perfect and that warm Alaska light has covered the drake beautifully. Head angles and eye contact don't get any better than this!!!
