I took this image in June of 2012 on an overcast morning, from the black sand beach near the mouth of the river that flows from the base of the Jökulsárlón glacier into the ocean. C&C welcome.

    Hi Geoffrey.

A very Fine image in my eyes... I especially like the black FG and detail within and also the detail in the ice.. Image has a bleak cold feel to it, I imaging thats how the day was..

This image makes me cold just looking at it, I really like the one little piece of ice on the black beach

Never been to Iceland, but this image makes me wish I had. I like the progression of the bergy bits leading to the main ice formation. I think that the inclusion of the small piece of ice on the black sand is an integral part of the composition. Great exposure of detail in the ice. The long exposure has softened the waves down nicely which adds to the slightly dreamy feel of the image. Lovely image.

Hi Geoffrey, great shapes and structures in this image. I like it a lot, but would have preferred just a little more room around the iceberg, especially on the right hand side.

I like the beach a lot, I think you need a bit more contrast on the ice...

I like this one as presented and love the way the black sand contrasts with the ice
