Going through some of my past images I came across this Red Diver taking off from a marsh in Iceland around 11:00 PM. C&C welcome.

    Geoffrey:

I am a bit partial to loons of all varieties, so always enjoy seeing them. I also think pan blurs can be quite effective, but for me personally, I prefer them when the head at least is sharp. Moving/blurry wings, water and background all can work, but I prefer the head to be sharp.

I like the diagonal line of the reflection in the frame.

    Cheers

I am afraid that this isn't working for me as a blur. The head is not sharp and I have to agree with Randy,

Hi Geoffrey, I like your choice of pano crop, and the take off pose. Glad that you managed to get a reflection, even though not the clearest. I agree with the above of having at least the head sharp.
