I used the new Topaz Texture to add texture and other effects. Really like the app/plugin!

Thanks Hazel! I thought it looked just like an old postcard so I added the text to finish it off.

Love it! Wonderful image. Great processing.
I love the view you captured--trees, water, bridge, city. These say Seattle! From where did you take the photo?
Were the light rays in the original image of added with Topaz?

Thanks Anita! My sister lives in that area which is called Somerset, a bedroom community south of Bellevue, and she drove me way up the mountain above her house to get the photos. Her house is in the lower section with no view of the water, which she jokingly calls "the poor section", haha. The rays were in the image I had already processed. I was lazy and just used the jpg...

I really like this...the processing is spot on...great vintage effect of the entire panoramic view!

Very, very nice. You've achieved a great feeling of depth with the darker foreground and lighter background. The panorama view is right for the scene. And your processing -- including the size, location, and typeface of the text -- makes it look very vintage. This was really well-executed in every step from capture to final image.

Thanks very much Dennis! Yes I worked on it a while in Texture Effects to get the colors and tones like I wanted them. I actually created 2 versions and merged them to create this one. I also saved my preset to use later.

Everyone has already said what I would say! I just downloaded the new Topaz program and seeing this just makes me more eager to start working with it.

I'll be interested in what you all think of the new Topaz program. I haven't even tried Impression yet.

I may be wrong so you might be taking a chance since Texture is on sale now for $20 off but I think they may offer a better deal for Black Friday. Seems like in the past they offered 50% off on everything... Last year I bought DAP for 25% off and I think I like it better than Impression, but both are good. Try them first and see what you think.

Good suggestion. I'm downloading a trial version.

    Judy,

Greetings. This is just great. I particularly like the text. Good show! I'll have to take a look at Texture. I generally like the Topaz suite. Great support, too. They've been there both times that I've needed to start up on a new machine... I think I bought Adjust maybe 6 or 7 years ago (and various packages since). Greatly improved products with each release, which is covered by old licenses. I think I just convinced myself to just buy it ;-). Thanks for posting.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-
