    The last in this series of the Blue-faced Honeyeater, this time a full back view.
    5D3 Canon 100-400 II @ 400 1/500 f10 iso500 ev +1
    About a 50% crop and a touch of artful dodging/burning and S&H in CC2015.
    Dynamic range too much to get any more out of the blacks.

    Looks like further explanation is needed. These birds don't care what position they have to get into to feed, upside down, sideways or any angle in between. In this case it was sideways so the comp is as shot, not 90 deg rotated!

    it's a handsome bird but overall I find the rather busy BG distracting here, my eye is drawn to the blank white are and the fact that his head is angled away from us doesn't help either. The feather details looks coarse and blotchy perhaps from too much compression. Overall this frame doesn't quite make it for me but it's refreshing to view
