    Default Tern shake

I created this shot in full blazing sun last weekend. The terns were very active. So I stayed and tried to work on the mechanics of the shot long past the morning light. I hope to improve with each opportunity.

    Well done Robert!
Nice clean graduated BG and the head shake with all the water droplets "seals the deal"!

Perfect shake, something that I have never been able to capture. I haven't looked at this histogram for this image but my eye tells me that the exposure could come up by at least 1/3.

Super shot lovely timing given your description of the weather I would perhaps consider lightening the sky a little.

    Hi Robert,

I too made attempts to get a good shot of that shake. Almost head-on, as in your shot, is a great POV for it :)

I agree the shot seems like it could be brighter.

I like the dark band at the bottom, however would consider to perhaps brighten it slightly with the gradient tool so it does not draw the eye in contrast the the rest of the BG.
