Local weather has dictated a severe lack of camera action on my behalf recently so here's one from earlier this year. I really enjoyed watching these little characters scuttling around the beach - would have been lovely to have dedicated some more time to them.

Shorebirds (or waders as you guys call them on the other side of the pond) are my favorite, and there is never enough time to spend with them! I like the low angle, walking pose, colours. Although the focus is spot on, the fine detail seems lacking...did you run some NR on the subject by any chance?

Hi Dan, thanks for stopping by.

No nr, bit more of a crop than I like but nothing extreme. I tried a little less sharpening than usual as I've tended to over sharpen sometimes. Maybe somewhere in the middle of this and my 'normal' might be best

Hi Mike, I really like the running pose and the POV is great. Maybe a little more sharpening on the bird as you suggested.

Love the running position and the mud on the beak showing him/her about their business. I won't comment on the sharpening as I can never seem to get it right myself but it looks good to my untrained eye.

    I love these little ones.
    I like the raised foot.
I might take a bit off the bottom to get rid of the OOF FG.
Sharpening looks good to my eyes- and I even have my glasses on!
