    Default Red-tailed hawk

I got this frame with Dave Salem last year in Southern California. The red-tailed was roosting on the ground relatively far from our truck.

A very uncomfortable looking roost spot. Great tones in this shot and the bird looks good, as usual!

    Arash:

IQ held up nicely, interesting pose, sharp, well exposed. I like the little fringe of green in the front and the greens in the bg, helps pull it together. Comp works well, good eye contact as well.

    Cheers

I just love the BG colors in this area of California.
Nice to see a different habitat shot for the hawk.
    IQ excellent as usual.

Such fine work, from capture to processing. I love the "perch" with the green leaves at the bottom. A close look reaveals that red tail being lit up from underneath, just one of the many details that makes this image a real winner in my book.

Very nice Arash. I like the pose he is giving you/us and the details look great for a large crop. Nice eye contact, a natural perch and that smooth BG all make up for a real keeper. Well done. See ya down here in a few weeks.
