    Hi Freddy,

Very nice behavior. I don't think they are matting but they sure make you work! :)

    Freddy,
    The technicals are outstanding.
The action and interaction is what makes this image special.
IMO the subjects are framed a little tight. A looser composition would make this an even stronger image.

    Thanks for sharing,
    James

Great capture of this moment, Freddy! I would reduce the contrast a bit and go for a wider crop, especially at the bottom.

A great behavior image, Freddy and the technical aspects are very well done. I expect several different crops would be very nice. This one works for me.

Lovely interaction, great detail on the male's face with eye separation from the mask, only possible when the sun hits a certain way.
Agree on a little more room around them.

First thing I thought of was a cowboy throwing his hands in the air after roping a steer. That said, I like the colors and how the heads of the three subjects are all pointing towards the same point. I also like the shadow running in-line with the little sandy ridge.

    Default incredible shot

Outstanding image of these Least Terns! The image detail, composition, etc seems excellent to me. You are undoubtedly an excellent photographer. One thing about terms, and terns have tricked me in the past. Tern parents feed their young until the youngsters are just about as large as the adult and on more than one occasion what I thought of mating behavior was actually an adult feeding a juvenile. There was breeding behavior going on all around, and I assumed.... The clincher was that the adult was offering a lowly shad to the youngster, who ate it immediately. The real mating adult males were offering the females a much more difficult to catch fish. And even if the adult female accepted the gift she doesn't gulp it down right away. She contemplates if it is a worthy offering and finally eats it. This could very well be breeding behavior, certainly if you saw them mating after the picture was taken. Just don't be fooled like I was. Just thought I'd throw this in. Thanks for posting this wonderful image.
