Hi Jon, nice one, like the body angle with another killer BRG.

Some may feel the grass stems are a wee bit distracting, but it reflects the location, however with PSCC it's an easy fix if you choose. Nice to see you pushing that ISO, but you could go a bit more I feel.

Hi Jonathan, I love the composition and the eye contact. OOF grass does not bother me, it is just part of the environment. Light is dull as you said and that made the image a bit flat, but you got the shot. Loi

Lovely Jon. Best one yet. The surroundings fit with the owl perfectly. Love the colours throughout. The eyes are awesome. Did you apply any noise reduction to the bird?

None at all apart from default Chrominance and I used DLO. Sharpness was 2. I think I warmed the image up a tad as well.

A lovely shot. Beautiful background colors and comp. Nice flight position. I don't mind either the flat light or the oof grasses; I think it all works together very nicely.

    oooohhh...I like this - a lot.
Can I come and play at your house?
A bit better light would have been killer but I would love this in my files,

I'm envious!! Perhaps a point or two of brightness might be a consideration.

I'd probably warm it up just a tad more, but everything else here is wonderful. Very nice image with lots of visual impact.
