Thanks, John. Yours is lovely! Bursting with life, as usual. Love your greens.
I have shot them against various backgrounds, from black and green to high key on white. The advantage of shooting them high key is that the some of the detail is lost in the whites, like the wrinkles/blemishes on a model's face.

Perhaps one needs to dig a little deeper into the bag of compositional tricks, John. I'm no beauty myself, so use a backdrop of ground meat for the camoflauge effect.

The duel of the Christmas cacti! You two are killing me! (That's a complement on this side of the pond, John.) Wonderful stuff!

No duel - its good to see different takes on the same flower I reckon.
Thanks for bothering to look and comment.

Beautiful exposure but I can't help but think a little oversaturated.

Lovely work John. Colours are beautiful and exposure is spot on. Just one small nit or perhaps a gnat on the bottom left flower head and a small black mark on the upper right.

Thanks David. The funny bit bottom left is a querk of CZM- it duplicates a small strip down the sides and mirrors it. I usually crop it out but missed this one. Not sure what the black speck is.
