I thought people might be interested in what a Puffin Colony in an extremely remote part of the world looks like.
This is the Breidafjordur Colony in East Iceland. 30 miles off the paved Ring Road over a high mountain pass in a part of the country not many tourists visit.
The "town" here is 130 people and is charming. The colony is small (a few thousand) but healthy. They are pretty tame and very
fun to photograph. Hope you enjoy this view. This was taken this past June.

That's a great look at this remote nesting location Dan. The Puffins in the green grasses, the cliff wall along with the mountain in the background really puts us in the location.
