    I've been playing around with flash setting and this is what I come up with so far. nikon D3 200-400. 1/1000 sec @F8. iso - 400. camera iso -3 and flash ev + 2/2/3. Hi speed sync. I also was wondering when hummer flash book will be available.

    I like this blured effect of the wings. the background also makes your hummer pop out...:cool:

    Very nice posse, it takes a few more flashes to freeze the wings. Linda said it will be ready soon!

    Thx Max, thats kind of the effect I was after, the wing blur and the black bg. Results are kind of inconsistent thought. Guess it depends on ambient light, background, and speed of the hummers wings.

    Good capture, if you want to freeze the wings more try playing with you flashes power levels...1/16-1/32. Unfortunately it means getting closer too.
