    Default MAMMOTH IN THE RAIN

Rain dispersed the crowds and I had the cat walks of Yellowstone's Mammoth Hot Springs to myself. This odd shaped lodge pole caught my eye. The image was captured in Sept. and may qualify for the theme. PP included Topaz Simplify.

Good composition with the repeating angles of the tree trunks, the walk and the hand rail. You captured the rainy, misty feeling very well. Not sure if it qualifies for the theme of leaves, seasonal changes. Pine trees pretty much look the same no matter what the season .

Nice composition. The tree does have an interesting shape.

Wow...love this composition and all the leading lines. The combination of the tree and the misty rain create an effective mood.

Nice image. It really reinforces the notion that bad weather can mean good photos. The wetness of the boardwalk and the gray in the background make a difference. That backward S curve defined by the boardwalk and the trees in the background is a good feature. You shot and processed this very well.

This lovely tree is definitely the center of focus, with the rest of the elements supporting it. Very nicely composed and processed. I agree that a rainy day can be an advantage for a photographer. I think I'd like a slight clockwise rotation. What do you think?

Anita, I do not want to rotate the entire image. Are you bothered by the foreground boardwalk? I straightened the boards with puppet warp. Does this work for you?

Gary: You solved the problem that concerned me. Excellent. Never heard of puppet warp, but it and you did a great job. This is a gorgeous tree and image.
I just looked up puppet warp. Wow. I'd love to have it. I may need to upgrade from Elements (which I love and have used for many years) to the monthly Photoshop.

Thanks Anita, always aim to please. I think you would be happy with Photoshop CC.
