Topaz Impression again, I really like that plugin. The base image was taken in 2002 with a Canon D60, only their second serious DSLR and advanced at the time with 6 megapixels. Looking out over the Black Canyon of the Gunnison.

You shot this with a nice diagonal and a good combination of colors. It'd be interesting to see how much of an effect using pointillism in Impression made. I like the end result. As much as I like the blue with the orange, I'd likely crop a bit off the top, but it looks good like this.
Interesting how the clouds seem to mimic the texture of the flowers. Then a good contrast from the sold blue. Nice.
Lovely! That looks like quite a canyon.
Nothing is happening in the top part of the sky, though -- I'd take out about 2/3 of it.
Lovely diagonal line in the fg Kerry, and beautiful colours. I might take a bit off the top as mentioned.
Really pretty, Kerry. I love the effect of the Topaz filter, but do agree about cropping out much of the sky.
I've only been gone from Colorado 6 months and this really brings back those gorgeous yellows of aspen in the fall! I am a huge fan of Topaz Impression and can spend way too much time experimenting with an image. I agree with others that the sky needs more clouds or be cropped some.
Kerry, great color and composition. I agree with cropping some sky. Your use of Topaz Impression has prompted me to get into the plug-in.
Kerry,
Greetings. I'm an Impression fan as well. You put it to good use here. I particularly like the pattern of yellows close and far. While I like the idea of a crop, I also like the deeper blues of the higher sky... maybe a crop with a dash of dehaze? Thanks for posting.
Cheers,
-Michael-
I really like the composition of the mountains and grasses and the colors are beautiful I agree about cropping the top section since there are no clouds there and I think it would put more emphasis on the foreground.
