    Default Silver-throated Tanager

    This was taken last year at my set up in Costa Rica. I cloned out part of a Speckled Tanager that was in front of this Tanager. Light was getting harsh and crop is a little tight. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

    Hi Jim, Great calling pose and colour on the bird. I see what you mean about the harsh light, but the bird looks good on that perch against the BG colour.

    Excellent image in habitat. Very nice pose with open beak. Absolutely superb colours.Beautiful Bg and composition.

    Such a beautiful bird. His open-beak pose is terrific, and his colors look wonderful against the dark green BG. The position of the bird mitigates any harsh lighting, IMHO, with no distracting shadows.

    You did best you could to tame the harsh light. It looks OK as processed and posted. My only reservation is the way the thinner part of the perch and its shadow is skimming the lower left edge. Perhaps cloning out that shadowy part would help. Otherwise all looks great

    Thanks everyone for the comments and suggestions. Good idea Daniel on the shadow suggestion of the perch.
