I like the details, sharpness, eye clarity and BG. I would add a sliver in front of the heron but that is personal preference. A real beauty Joe!

Stunning details and colours on this beautiful heron. I was not sure about the BG form the thumb, but it looks fine viewed large. Well done portrait.

Hi Joe, having a two tone BKG where the horizon cuts through the subject I fine is never ideal, but often unavoidable, however in this capture it works and the lighter half provides a cool separation for the head, nice portrait and good to see a higher SS .
