I normally don't like the BG color changing through the subject but this one caught my eye so much so that I printed it.
Right through the middle, land and sea. I hope you like it.

Thanks as always for looking and for your input. I appreciate it.

Beautiful image David! I like the banking pose, water color, fish, IQ and composition.

    Holy c**** er...I mean "moly.
The tern and IQ are off the charts. At the full apex of the wing spread.
Love the slight angle towards the viewer.Perfect exposure.
BG has beautiful color palette and I am OK with the 50/50 here.
The image almost has a pastel drawing feel to it.
Absolutely no nits except for the fact that this isn't mine!

I think this works so well b/c the bird falls on the "crack" if you will. :) It's quite a striking image, and i can see why you were so attracted to it.

I'd take it in a heartbeat. The fact that the bird is on the dividing line reinforces the 50/50 comp, and really makes it work for me. Terrific work, as usual.

How did you make it fly on the line?:). Awesome positioning, nice top view, eye contact and fish. Well done.

Hi Dave, killer flight pose, and you absolutely nailed the exposure. Great that he has a fish too. Well, you couldnt have timed this capture any better, by intersecting the BG as you have. Well captured.

I thought I commented last pm but don't' see my post. Lovely feel to this image, David. The background works very well and your capture of the bird and his prey is spot on. Bet the print looks great.

Yah, I sorta kinda like it. Super nice, from the banking pose, to the prey, and yes the two-tone BG cutting across the subject is A-OK here as it intersects in a perfect spot.

Stunning pose, details and BG. The fish takes it way over the top. Nicely composed too.
    Lovely work Dave.
