another from lover's key state park. i know the light is harsh and coming from high and right, but you gotta love the main attraction!!! i took what nature gave me here and tried to make the best of it. hope you like it!

D300, Bigma at 500mm, f/11, 1/1600s, -1.3EV, ISO 500 (dont ask why, sometimes it's just that way!!) FF at +3.0EV (again, dont ask why! i think i was trying to even out the shadows. that sounds like i know what i'm doing, right?)

big question: is the out of focus parent to much of a distraction or does it add in this instance?

Thanks for looking and comments and critiques are appreciated!!!

Sure do like it Very effective !! I think the light is working in your favor here Dramatic lighting!!! Would lighten the eye area just a tad. I like the straight in view of the parent.

I'm torn with the bottom. On the one hand I like the space for the virtual feet and the other I would like seeing less. Will see how everybody feels about it !!! Fine image Harold !!!! Big Congrats !!!

I love the chick! The adult is not a distraction for me at all. I might like a bit less at the bottom.

CUTE! Love that chick, yes a bit less on the bottom. The adult sort of bugs me, more in focus or more blured, I think more blured.

Hi Harold - nice one - agree with less at the bottom and parent is OK for me as is.

    Well done.

Mr. Harold, I like it very much. The mother is fine the way she is. Also you can blurr her a wee bit more, and that should work too. I give my vote for taking a tad more from the bottom also...good job buddy...

I'm for less of the bottom. And I think I would lighten the eyes of both the chick and the parent.

Harold, here's another vote that less on the bottom and more blur on Mom would make this treasure really shine.

Great capture my friend, beautiful composition. I like it the way it is personally. BTW, I never thanked you for sending the info on Little Estero and Ding. Hope to go to little Estero Monday or Tuesday.
    Again, thanks and regards.
