    Lovely detail in the eye I may have been tempted to run around the lores with the Dodge tool. I would have thought it would have been difficult to decide on the "ideal or correct crop" but I think there is possibly a little too much wing there for my taste.??

    That certainly does look like an evil eye, but it looks great! Stopping down a bit more would have helped IMO, but overall I do like the image an the intimacy of the tight crop.

    Nice image, Stuart. I love Sand Hill Cranes, I never saw them until moving to Florida. I might try a square or 4x5 crop which would eliminate some of the feathers where the DOF falls off, just a thought. Thank you for sharing.
