I have been neglecting my Avian photography a little to much lately but I did get out a few months back and spent a morning sitting in the mud and water nothing special here with a Willet but I really like the nice tones of the BG and how they give separation to the Willet giving the image a nice 3D effect.

I know these guys are a dime a dozen in your neck of the woods, but anytime I'm in Florida (which is way overdue now!!) I smile from ear to ear when I see them. I like the walking pose, details, low angle, composition. It could be just an illusion, but perhaps just a touch of CW rotation could be needed. Nice to see you posting in the avian forum!

Hi Don, love the cross legs as it wades through the water and the BKG colour are sympathetic to the subject. Agree on the rotation, but it's more of a visual one rather than the 'ruler'.

Lovely pose, colors and shooting angle. The bit of green in the BG adds a nice depth to the image.
