    This shot was made while observing a breeding pair of peregrine falcons, the smaller male bird is pictured here perched high in a dead eucalypt at midday. The female was guarding the nest higher up on a limestone cliff face. Canon EOS 7D Mark II, EF600mm f/4L IS II USM +1.4x III, 1/2000, f 8.0, ISO 800, manual, handheld. Comments welcome.

    Lovely pose on this one Gerhard. Lovely perch and the bird looks good against the BG. I would like to see some more detail around the neck and head area. Love the eye contact.

    Nice look down pose but I am afraid the midday light did you no favors here as the whites are completely blown out.

    Yup, the Oz midday sun can be a real bummer on the best of times. Thanks for the helpful feedback.
