Excellent image, John. Very nice feather details, nice perch with leaves, nice BG and beautiful composition.
Love the pose with superb HA, eye and tiny beak.

    Regards,
    Satish.

    John,
    This is lovely.
I am surprised but glad that you were able to get this guy tack sharp at a SS of 1/125. If they are at all like our black-capped chickadees, they never stop moving.
I don't even try to shoot them at less than 1/800.
My only suggestions would be to increase the exposure by a third of a stop and a bit more NR on the BG.

    Thanks both.
Heres a repost Gail. Yes it is hard at that shutter speed but the light dictates the ss. You don't seee the throw outs either !!

Great capture of this cutie, John. Good suggestion on getting brighter, the repost looks better.

Great look from this little guy. Love what I assume is an after-bath look. Beautiful background. Repost helps the exposure. On my screen the BG still looks as if it could use a touch of NR. Or maybe my screen is dusty.

I like the pose, exposure in the repost but would keep the composition of the OP. Well done John!
