    Love the direct eye contact and the subtle feather detail on the facial disc (not easy to get). I might try to lighten up the shaded side of the bird's face just a little, and perhaps tone down the brightest areas of the lighted side.

    Hi Geoff,

    I really love the composition, eye contact, the subject, and colors. I think the side light ads character to the birds face, one side bright and one side in the shadows.

    I wonder how much of a crop this was? IQ does not seem optimal to my eyes.

    IQ aside, I still love this shot!

    Great incoming shot! From experience with this rig this is probably full frame? I see the slightest of sharpening halo around the tail and trailing wing edges on my screen.
