Just renewed membership so thought I'd better get off my BS and get at it. Nice bird to start with ! Fist rain after a week or two here. Should soon have loads of puddle and pretty leaves stuff!
Not sure about the wayward feather in this one.

    Hi John,

Adorable image! I love the setting, the POV, and the fact that some fallen leaves can be seen through the water.

I did not notice the feather until I read your image information. Still yet, I too am not sure about that.

I love the colors, but would consider to bring down the saturation a tad on the bright green leaves.

Thanks for sharing this inspiring image John :)

    Thanks Ross
Did think about it ! I think maybe the drab colours of the rest of the pic make it look worse. Heres a re-post anyway.

    Hi John,

I like the repost a lot. The leaves do not pull my attention away from the bird now :)

    Cheers,
    Ross

You captured a little beauty here John. Lovely detail on the bird and I love the expression on her face

Lovely image, John. The repost looks better as the leaves look nicer.

I like the feather detail, sharpness, composition and toned down leaves in the repost. Well done John.

I've always enjoyed your birds bathing in puddle images, and this one is no exception. Quite the cute fella! I'm another in the "not sure about the feather" camp but it does add a sense of previous activity at the spot.

Thank you for the membership support!
