    Great pose and details. Like the eye contact too. Would like to see more soft BG including more contrast to the mantis. TFS.

    The background not being smoother is an interesting change. I don't mind it not being smoother because it is consistent across the frame. Nicely done in all other aspects. Great behavior.

    Good shot and presentation. The mottled BG adds realism to the shot.

    Gorgeous detail and great light! I love the BG for being a little different, and it's colors are perfect for the subject!

    A striking pose for sure. I actually like the background because the texture gives a bit more sense of depth than a perfectly smooth bg.
