Captured this image at a coastal fisherman's harbor in Lima, Peru this past June on an overcast morning. We had gone to this location in hopes of finding the Inca Tern and there were plenty. Also we found quite a few other shore bird species including this Belcher's Gull, also known as a Band-tailed Gull. C&C welcome.

Quite nice, with the muted background, the red Pops right out and draws my attention. I might consider adding a few points of brightness just to liven it up a touch.
Hi Geoff, interesting detail on this fellow, and with the overcast weather, you certainly nailed the overall exposure. Love the three tone beak, and the droplet adds interest.
Very nice portrait of this handsome fellow. He was most cooperative, and you took good advantage. The light was indeed dim and still a bit foggy, which helped with the black and white birds. Maybe just the tiniest add'l brightening, and a touch of selective sharpening on the bill?
