Herring Gull is rarely seen around here.
This individual was sitting in a dark corner early morning.
Removed blue cast from the head and greenish cast from the beak.
    Full frame image.
    Thanks for looking.

The two spots of color - red and green - make this interesting. I never realized how green their eyes were. Nice detail and comp.

Thanks, Bill. I looked up the images of a juvi herring Gull and realized that the yellow on the beak was natural.
Also, it looks like that the green eye was unnatural. I redone the image in Lightroom 5. that I normally don't use and
combined the two images copying over the right color of the beak and eye.
    Here it is:

That's more like the way I'm used to seeing them. Good PP work.

I like the sharpness, exposure, detail, BG and composition. Repost colors look good. I am seeing a bit of darkness around the beak in the BG. Very well done Karl!

Hi Karl, well exposed on the whites here, and love that eye. Your repost works well, and I do like the colourful BG.

Well done on the repost Karl. Lovely whites, you controlled them well. I love the eye. When I seen the original, I thought 'our herring gulls dont have eyes like that'
