there is something wrong with the processing, the image has a strong purple/magenta cast and lots of noise.

OK, thanks Arash, it is pretty poor isn't it. Just got too smart for my own good in DPP.

Hi Colin,
Repost is much better. I am wondering about your techs and why you decided to use flash? You could have shot wide open at 5.6 and a higher ISO with no problem and not needed flash.
Enquiring minds want to know!

I was fairly close (about 5 m) and wanted good dof that included the dead tree, but I did overdo it at f16. Given that, the light was a bit against me so I chose the flash. I did take some without and they were a bit shadowy/noisy.
