Lovely setting and pose. I guess it is the mist but I feel there is a tad of detail missing in the plumage, maybe a little more sharpening??
My only criticism is the feet are not visible but I know only too well how difficult it can be to get the birds to pose in the right place on the right rock!

Nice calling pose captured, Will. Jon was right it needed a little more sharpening.
    Now it looks really nice.

    Repost is excellent.
This environment really "feels" like Scotland. I echo Jonathan's critique,

Loving your grouse. The repost is nice and the mood of this image gives a sense of place. Well done.

Hi Will, lovely framing and I like the pose, in mid call. Agree with Jon about the missing feet, a crying shame, but better luck next time. I might have tried f/4 as it's so side on.
