Captured this image while in Iceland in 2012. This Wagtail was foraging in the dune grasses for ants to feed it young. C&C welcome.

Nice looking image Geoffrey. You captured it well considering how flighty those wee guys are. Lovely pose and I like the sand and grasses on the dune.

I would remove the piece of grass in front of the tail.

Lovely little birds these Geoffrey, and it's nice to see the full beak. However, the head doesn't look sharp to me - is this a large crop? If not you may be able to give it another round of sharpening which may help a little, but it looks like you may have just missed critical focus.

Thanks William and Mike, and William for your suggestion, and yes Mike this was a considerable crop, but was still able to give another round of sharpening on the head. Here's a repost.

Great in habitat image. The food item in the beak is a big plus.

Hi Geoff, lovely low angle, and I do like the beak full of ants. The angled pose works well enough, but have to say, the IQ is suffering from the large crop.
