Stuart, the bird is nicely lit, baby blue sky looks good too. I'm not crazy about such a heavy perch, even for a large bird as it just gives the photo such a weighed down feeling. So what to do? I did a browser scroll and elimiated a good chunk off the bottom . What do you think?

Sorry, Stuart. A browser scroll is where you position the picture on your monitor by using the scroll bar on the right side. In this case, I just scrolled until I eliminated some of the bottom of your frame and looked at the image without all of the perch showing.

Lovely light on the back of the bird.

At first glance I liked the perch, even with it being a little oversized, but after reading Grace's comments I have to agree with losing a little from the bottom. I quite like square crops but if you don't I could also imagine a version with more of that lovely blue sky out on the left.

Have to say though, just purely speaking about the Rosie itself, it's definitely up there with my favourite shots with the light and the pose

    Mike
