I spotted this majestic beauty perched in a tree next to an ocean fed pond, in Sept. as we were driving by at Brigantine, NJ. C&C welcome.

    D4s, Nikon 500mm + 1.7 TC, 1/640s, F 8.0, ISO 800, Gitzo tripod, Wimberley Gimbal head.

Distracting branch removed in cs6. Slight use of Nik detail extractor.

This would pair well with Grace's environmental eagle shot!
Good comp. Nice head on gaze.
My eye is pulled away by the diagonal branch in RUC so I would clone that out.

Thanks Gail. I had seen that branch and my first instinct was to extract it, but your vigilant eye confirms it needed to go.Name: © 2015 ••Geoffrey Montagu SDH_8601 Brig. Osprey copy.jpg

I love the stare down of this bird but the branches are a bit too busy for my taste and take away from your handsome subject.
