Late afternoon shot of ostrich chicks taken a while back in Rietvlei nature reserve, South Africa. Being small they are easier to frame, unlike the protective parents who were in close attendance.... Hi Gerhard,

This is a wonderful shot of the ostrich chicks. Too bad there was not more clouds in the sky, as the light seems contrasty to me. Perhaps backing off on contrast, or reducing highlights, and increasing the shadows, can help compress the range of tones?
