Hi all sharing another tight seal frame with you folks .
I guess it this is not that intense as the previous one for you as it is for me , just a different view to a different species .
For me it is this head on eye contact make it working for me , where the other one was more a shy looking little Seal looking what the bigger humans are doing .
This one was also looking and checking me out , but more in a offensive way ...... well at least i think so .

    Canon EOS 1D MK IV
    EF 800 IS L
    Tripod and fluid head

    F 8 ; Iso 400 ; 1/250 sec oooohhh those settings are hurting , LOL !!!!

Processed with DPP4 and PS CC ; cropped for comp from 3 sides to 80 % of FF .

Thanks for the feedback to last posting and checking out this one

    Cheers Andreas

Gotta love those tear-drop brown eyes Andreas! I like the colours here but your earlier post takes the cake! Nice tight frame and the techs worked for you :-)

    Hello Boetie!

    Thank you so much!

I will return with comments this evening, at work now and on my old PBell laptop. Could not help but look since I saw my name there, LOL. I am so spoilt this month:)

Whew, this looks awesome, so in your face, eyes, whiskers and all, I cannot wait to see it on the big screen, I bet it's sharp as it can get...

Chat later, have a wonderful afternoon,
    Gabriela Plesea

Hi Andreas -- I agree with Sanjeev , those techs really worked for you , the seal is popping out and you have managed another great Seal image . I would have preferred a bit more space beneath its face . TFS !

    Hi Andreas

Those 2 Brown Eyes are really staring at me!
For me the shallow DOF works, keeps the attention of viewer on eyes and nose. (Can almost feel that wet nose!)
Good detail in whites and darks.
Fine with comp, I think you wanted the "in your face" effect.
    Nice one Buthi!
    Regards

    Andre.

    Hello again Boetie

Love the brown eyes and the whiskers ( tempted to pluck one whisker right now, LOL).

Really nice IQ and sharpness for 1/250s and yes the settings hurt a little, but what can I say? You got away with it, LOL.

If I were to nitpick I would perhaps like a bit, just a bit more DOF. Instead I would rather ask you about the FP - was it somewhere between those lovely brown eyes and that wet, shiny nose? The nose is very sharp with super detail. Impressive fellow and the eye contact is just awesome, well framed, love the rich colours... Thank you Andreas, enjoyed viewing and so pleased you thought of me when posting this

Warmest regards and good wishes from your Sister here in Africa,

Thanks so much folks for your comments , as always much appreciated .

I agree with those of you about a tiny bit more DOF would have been better , but it cannot be corrected afterwards , i could have tried to compensate it with a bit more sharpening , however i left it as is .

FP point was just between the eyes but a bit more towards the bridge of the nose .

    Thanks again , Andreas
