This Peregrine falcon was not pleased with me walking past underneath its nesting site higher up on a cliff edge and made a few agro high-speed fly past manoeuvres to scare me off. The harsh midday sun and awkward angle of the light from above made shooting difficult. Canon EOS 7D Mark II, EF600mm f/4L IS II USM +1.4x III, 1/2000, f8.0, ISO 800, manual exposure, handheld.
PP - ACR, cropped for composition, resized and sharpened (perhaps a tad too much sharpening)
    Thanks for looking, comments welcome.

Hi Gerhard, great eye contact from the angry falcon, and I quite like the rim light along the edge of the wings and tail. Well exposed on the underwings, and Im seeing a halo on the top of the wings and head.

    Hi Gerhard,

I sure would love to get a shot of the Peregrine like this! Composition is wonderful.

Yes, sharpening seems a tad high, with the bright blue halo showing on the upper edges of the right wing, as Stu pointed out. There is also some noise in the background, which may go away if sharpening is lowered.

You could consider adding a glint in it's left eye, if that would look more natural to you.

    Thanks for posting this Gerhard!

    Ross
